Country Hog Roast founded 2008 is commonly referred to as a good hog provider.

John Fawcett has provided a consistent hog roast service over the years. The reputation of Country Hog Roast has grown to such an extent that we have now expanded. Country hog roast use equipment used is the best on the market. The sauces are delicious. The hog is slowly roasted for hours, often overnight. The presentation is thoughtful. All these factors lead to one thing. Customer satisfaction.

From travel and menus to weather and guest numbers, here's what you need to know before booking your hog roast.

Do you cater for hog roasts in Yorkshire as well as Lancashire?

Yes — while we're based in Colne, Lancashire, we regularly travel into Yorkshire for events, particularly around Skipton and Ripon. No booking is too far if the date works for us.

How far will you travel for an event in Skipton or Ripon?

Both are well within our regular catering area, so travel is never an issue. Let us know your event location when you enquire and we'll confirm everything, including any travel cost, in your quote.

How much notice do you need for a booking?

We'd recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend weddings in peak season, but we'll always do our best to accommodate shorter notice where we can.

How many guests can a hog roast feed?

A whole hog typically feeds anywhere from 50 to 200+ guests depending on portion size and menu extras. Let us know your numbers and we'll recommend the right package.

Do you offer vegetarian or dietary alternatives?

Yes, we can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary requirements alongside the hog roast — just mention it when you enquire so we can build it into your menu.

How much does hog roast catering cost?

What happens if it rains on the day?

Very little stops a hog roast. Our equipment is designed for outdoor use in all weather, and we can cook under a gazebo, marquee, or covered area if needed.

Can we customise the menu for our event?

Absolutely — most clients start with a set menu and add extras like starters, desserts, or plated options. Just let us know what you have in mind when you enquire.
